سورة Al-An'am ( The Cattle ) - English - Talal Itani - الآية 42 عدد الآيات 165

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بِٱلْبَأْسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ ﴿٤٢﴾

We sent messengers to communities before you, and We afflicted them with suffering and hardship, that they may humble themselves.
