سورة Al-Hashr ( The Gathering ) - English - Ahmed Ali - الآية 5 عدد الآيات 24

مَا قَطَعْتُم مِّن لِّينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَآئِمَةً عَلَىٰٓ أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِيُخْزِىَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ ﴿٥﴾

The palm trees that you cut down or left standing intact was by God's dispensation, so that He might disgrace the transgressors.
