فَأَهْلَكْنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًۭا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿٨﴾

So We destroyed far more powerful (nations) than they. The example of earlier people is there.
